The county has done a tremendous job expanding and improving waste disposal efforts, and the East Yancey tire recycling site is an excellent example of that effort.
It may be helpful for the county to explore additional tire recycling access at the other convenience centers as well. Making recycling more convenient should help keep tires out of streams, woods, and illegal dump sites. If you support this idea, a brief and appreciative note to the county commissioners could help encourage discussion and future planning.
