CERF+ Get Ready Grant Cycle for Craft Artists Affected by Hurricane Helene
CERF+ understands that recovery from an event as devastating as Hurricane Helene will take several months or years. Because this disaster affected such a large concentration of craft artists, we are opening a special cycle of our CERF+ Get Ready Grant program specifically for craft artists affected by Hurricane Helene.
These grants provide up to $1,000 to individual craft artists for activities that strengthen studio safeguards (such as safety equipment, contractor consultations, or upgrades to reduce health risks), enhance emergency and disaster readiness (including emergency tools, theft protection, and risk-reduction upgrades), support business continuity (like inventory systems, documentation, e-commerce training, and short-term childcare), and protect long-term career sustainability through legacy planning, legal and financial services, or professional development.
This special grant cycle will be open for applications from July 15 through August 12.
Apply Here.

We're saving a seat for you! If you are a Dementia Caregiver, please join us for the Caregivers Support Group, Thursday, July 24, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church, 51 Town Square, Burnsville. New friends are always welcome! A support group is a safe space to share experiences, gain insights, and find encouragement from others. You'll learn about resources (e.g., Project C.A.R.E.) and get valuable tips from other caregivers, too. Limited onsite group respite, The Coffee Club, meets at the same time for folks living with early-stage dementia (no personal care assistance). This is not drop-off respite, but rather a social program for folks to enjoy while you attend the support group meeting. Contact group leader April Henkel at (850) 228-1228 for more information and to pre-register for The Coffee Club.
