It's been a busy Spring, thank you to all of our volunteers that have kept the recovery efforts going! With your help we have planted 600 rivercane across the county, and removed over 60,000 lbs of trash and debris from our waterways and neighbors' lands!
Here are upcoming opportunities to volunteer:
Sunday 6/8 1-4pm Clean up and River Cane Planting on the West Side
Join us this weekend for another 19W clean up along the Cane River with Keira! For this clean up we will be assisting on cleaning up land both roadside and across the river, as well as planting some river cane along the banks of a neighboring property. We will bring a row boat or canoe, but bring along your waders or boots if you’ve got 'em!

South Toe Watershed Debris Removal Has Begun - Landowners Get In Touch!
If you own land along the South Toe River or nearby creeks and are concerned about debris in or along the water channel, get in touch. Our next First Friday community dance is tonight: Friday, June 6, at Green Cay at Arthur Morgan School, starting at 7:30. This will be our last dance until Fall, so come on out and shake a leg! Our contra dance caller will be Claire Takemori, up from Asheville, with music by the nearly legendary Band X, with Suzie Solomon and Keith Ross on fiddles. Please bring a $5-10 donation to help pay our hardworking dance caller.
